Nonprofit Registration for the Westport Dog Festival

05/20/2018 10:00 AM - 04:00 PM ET

Westport, CT

As the lead nonprofit for the 2018 Westport Dog Festival one of the responsbilities of TAILS is handling the nonprofit invitations/registrations/etc for the event. We would love it if you attended our upcoming May 20th "Dog Fest" and ask that you register using the link included here to confirm your nonprofit organization's (free) space.

Since our first year this fun, all-things-dog event spearheaded by the Westport Weston Chamber of Commerce has grown dramatically (we had 1,800 attendees our first year, 2,500 last year and expect closer to 3,000 this year).  As you might imagine, the number and interest of nonprofit organizations has grown as well but we have limited space on the Winslow Park (Westport) field - so please register ASAP.  This is a great event to feature (bring) your dogs/puppies, hand out information about your organization and upcoming events, collect donations - and do it all in a free 10X10 space!  Details are below - but please make sure you register so we reserve a space for your group...and don't forget the adoptables are most welcome (and encouraged!)!  Also, if you do attend - make sure to stop by and thank the good folks at Bankwell who kindly sponsored the entire nonprofit area; a local business committed to the animals - LOVE IT!

  • Date/Time: Sunday, May 20, 2018 (raindate: Sunday, May 27, 2018) - festival runs 10-4pm; set up/take down is before and after - NOT during the event.  You must commit to the entire event, not part of it. With an anticipated 3,000+ people it's the only safe option.  Day-of details will be sent closer to the event.
  • You get a free 10'X10' space which you bring your own display/table/chairs/tent to showcase your nonprofit and pooches (if you choose to bring them).
  • You are free to sell items, collect donations, BRING ADOPTABLE DOGS - it's your space - you just need to play well in the sandbox.
  • Registration is MANDATORY as we map out booth space about a month+ in advance. There is LIMITED NONPROFIT SPACE - 15 booths, specifically. So if you want to register do so ASAP with the link on this page.  The number of available spaces is dictated by the size of the field - so please register as soon as you know you can come. Once we reach capacity this link will revert to a waitlist.
  • The event will feature Doggie Fun Zone (dog obstacle course), trained dog demos, Police K-9 units from towns in Fairfield County, doggie contests, food trucks, lots of vendors (last year we had 75 vendors), an onsite veterinarian, WEBE area and many other fun things planned.
  • Pictures from last year's event are here on our Facebook page.

As noted last year we had just over 2,500 attendees and anticipate the event growing as it has the prior two years - it's a family friendly, dog loving event!

Thanks all & keep up the great work!!!  Click here to register now!
